Eumos embarks on online exams for qualifying experts in Cargo Securing

Eumos has launched online exams for the Qualification of Experts in Cargo Securing and Transport Packaging according to EUMOS 40607 with the first experts having taken the exam remotely last Friday 17 November. The online exam modality will allow the recently launched Eumos exams to progress at a faster pace ensuring higher qualification of professionals in cargo securing and transport packaging. The certificate to be given to the newly examined experts is based on the EUMOS 40607 standards which aim at training professionals to perform their responsibilities related to cargo securing and transport packaging according to laws and standards in place. The key objective pursued by Eumos seeks to ensure that professionals are fully trained in relation to Annex 3 of Directive 47/2014/EU which describes the EU provisions for cargo securing in technical road side inspections of the road worthiness of commercial vehicles. Watch out for the next exam date!

The EUMOS 40607 standard sets the minimum requirements to become a Qualified Expert in the following professional groups:

  • EUMOS 40607-1:2015 Qualified Expert in General Cargo Securing and Transport Packaging. Minimum Requirements
  • EUMOS 40607-2:2020 Qualified Expert in Cargo Securing and Transport Packaging. Minimum Requirements for Logistics and Transport Directors
  • EUMOS 40607-3:2020 Qualified Expert in Cargo Securing and Transport Packaging. Minimum Requirements for Drivers and Forklift Operators
  • EUMOS 40607-4:2020 Qualified Expert in Cargo Securing and Transport Packaging. Minimum Requirements for Police and Public Authorities

Candidates can prepare for the exam by adhering to a training institution for cargo securing of choice based on the EUMOS 40607:2020 Guide “Qualified Expert in Cargo Securing and Transport Packaging. Minimum Requirements for Levels 1/2/3/4”. The Guide will be provided to all candidates in the framework of the exam package.
