As a part of this year’s inhouse-exhibition EXPO in June, Windmöller & Hölscher showed the production of an economically very attractive stretch film for reliable  load securing. The uniqueness of this film which was produced with just 8µ thickness at speeds of 600m/min lies in its extreme holding force and puncture resistance, combined with very low raw material consumption. This product, which is known as “Taut film” excels with high stiffness and very low elasticity and is ideally suited for use with simple stretch-wrapping machines.
With the universal cast film line FILMEX W&H has made an important contribution to the manufacturing of sophisticated stretch films. The intelligent design of machine components and especially their coordination by the PROCONTROL TS automation system ensure highly consistent film properties, which can be monitored in real time. To arrive at perfectly wound rolls, the line is equipped with the fully automated, high-performance FILMATIC PS turret winder. Unique design features like the quadruple winding-shaft bearings and the perfect web guiding ensure high winding speed and reproducible roll quality even with very thin films.
