Eumos has published the dates for Online Exams for the Qualification of Experts in Cargo Securing and Transport Packaging according to EUMOS 40607 at the following dates in 2024:

• 22 March 2024
• 14 June 2024
• 20 September 2024
• 13 December 2024

Successfully passing this exam certifies the examined experts according to the EUMOS 40607 standards which aim at training professionals to perform their responsibilities related to cargo securing and transport packaging complying with the laws and standards in place. The key objective pursued by Eumos is to ensure that professionals are fully trained in relation to Annex 3 of Directive 47/2014/EU which describes the EU provisions for cargo securing in technical road side inspections of the road worthiness of commercial vehicles.

The EUMOS 40607 standard sets the minimum requirements to become a Qualified Expert in the following professional groups:

• EUMOS 40607-1:2015 Qualified Expert in General Cargo Securing and Transport Packaging. Minimum Requirements
• EUMOS 40607-2:2020 Qualified Expert in Cargo Securing and Transport Packaging. Minimum Requirements for Logistics and Transport Directors
• EUMOS 40607-3:2020 Qualified Expert in Cargo Securing and Transport Packaging. Minimum Requirements for Drivers and Forklift Operators
• EUMOS 40607-4:2020 Qualified Expert in Cargo Securing and Transport Packaging. Minimum Requirements for Police and Public Authorities

Candidates can prepare for the exam by adhering to a training centre for cargo securing or by self-preparation based on the EUMOS 40607:2020 Guide “Qualified Expert in Cargo Securing and Transport Packaging. Minimum Requirements for Levels 1/2/3/4”. The Guide will be provided to all candidates in the framework of the exam package.
